Rain, farms and river!!!

June 11th, it was one of those days when you live in extremes. I woke up early to visit the farms and planned to come back by lunch. As soon as we started the journey , rain started and there was heavy downpour, before that I could glimpse double hanging clouds just within reach of imaginary skyscraper.
It was raining slowly in Dan Musa and I went out in rain to inspect the farms , felt rilly cold ,but alive again...after two months in Nigeria ...
Travelled on foot where car could not take us , acrossed a dry river and visited farms and met community heads.. When I came back from the visit after 2.5hrs.. I saw the so called dry river...was not so dry...it was flooded with water...
Well.. there was on strip of land on the middle which was dry...so I reached there...
Me along with three of my staff was with me...all locals...so one went to cross  the last patch of water...he almost got carried away with water...
Bt some how reached the bank of river...
Now we were stuck...and the patch of land was slowly eaten away by river...
By that time alteast 100 people had gathered on the banks...shouting instructions...
Then somehow I went with my staff...acrossed the last part of river...with water almost driving us aways...
It was some experience..

Funtua chapter

Two days back came to funtua... session procurement setup from local farmer in nearby areas...yesterday met around 150farmers....huge fun....people r really humble and respecting....
Guest house is huge... feels like living in forest

Interesting week

Work is going great, included in part of strategy team for expansion plans. Vineet Ooga is cool. Met new guys Kamal, Abhishek. Supernaturals and Gotham episode rocked the week apart from usual GOT getting John Snow back from DEAD. Miss Tasha is back in life

Strip club

Well as name suggest, first experience of going to the strip club. Felt disgusted.
Nothing much to say, other than amit sir being a cool guy!! 

Poker & Tea

Finally some time to relax and look into a single commodity instead of reading into all.
Sesame commodity it is.. Had full day of bloomberg !!
Evening was spent with our neighbour/senior' wife/friend. Wonderful time spent away chatting and sipping tea. Priyanka maam lent us poker game and well all hell broke loose in the night.
Was bankrupt after 3-4 round in trial game and when we restarted, was on verge of bankruptcy, but then fortune turned and won huge.

Sesame it is!!!

Day started with random work to be completed along with some timepass. In afternoon sumit told about me being selected for sesame business under vineet sir. I wanted to go in sesame and work with Vineet, so quite happy with the result. In eveng even got in talking term with someone i always look forward too.

New job-Nigeria-First 3 weeks

After one month long stay at home with lots of theplas, kachoris and basic cooking skill, I was at airport with about 10 people (family & friends) to see me off. They were behaving like this is the last time they will ever see me. 2nd April

Met Akash at mumbai airport, and listened to unnati's tantrums about forgetting to meet here. 

Emirates has best service ...no doubt about it.

Almost missed my change over flight at dubai due to last minute departure gate change.

Lagos landing made be realise India is not at all a backward country, Infact I felt, India is an super developed nation compared to the view I got at Lagos airport.

We didnt know the guy coming to pick us, only name was know to us. So we were randomly shouting his name, in case he finds us. He did!!. We were shifted to Smirdu hotel , which India cuisine and a swimming pool. First day at TGI HQ were given basic idea about company and some cash for spending. ...also a blackberry phone and old HP lappy. We were getting so much respect and attention that was almost like what the hell did we do, to deserve that ??  

On monday, went to naveen's house to have dinner, delicious dinner and ofcourse meet him. Coming days we were trained at WACOT office. KT sessions. Weekend had gone to watch allegiant movie but AC was not on in the theater. Learnt swimming all by myself in the pool with say 14 days of practice. Champion of the game Chain reaction. Just yesterday had review done by the team, it went ok, some got suggestion were given , which were duly noted by me.
